MG MG Y Type - Salt and Pepper material

When I got my Canadian YT it came with two very original sets of side screens, complete with original salt and pepper material. Does anyone know where I can get this now as I would like to rebuild my weather equipment using original material ... if I can. I am attaching a picture so that you can see what it looks like.

Hi Paul,
I was talking to the PO of YT3861 which had a Salt & Pepper Hood fitted in 2002. The material was imported from the USA via the following supplier:-

Hi Tony

Does he have the invoice with the material reference number on it please? If so, can you please advise what it is for me?

Thanks

Hi Paul,
Unfortunately, no reference numbers or clues to source - he just ordered Salt & Pepper Grey Hood Material.

But as it was sourced in the USA, I thought you should perhaps begin your search closer to home rather than pay for two freight crossings of the Pacific.

Check out the website though, they have lots of sample pictures.

cheers

Hi TOny

Contacted them through their website and they have already replied so I have asked them prices etc. Watch this space for more developments! Thanks

OK I am about to order the material. As I cannot get it in the US I am having to import it from Australia so I'd prefer (like Goldilocks) to get the right amount - not too much, and not too little as it will cost a fortune in transit as it is!

Does any one have any idea how much material I will need from having made up a full set of YT weather equipment before?

I want to make a hood cover, hood, 1/2 tonneau, and full set of side screens.

I am thinking about 9 meters (29ft 6ins) and the material is 54 inches wide.

Thanks

Paul
