MG MG Y Type - REVERSING LIGHT SWITCH
| Can someone save me the need to beg the use of a car lift, or to grovel under my YA (7207), as I'm getting too old to do this easily. Will there be a reversing light switch fitted, or was this an extra? It looks from the wiring diagram as if one of the rear lights was also a reversing light, but both of mine just illuminate the number plate. Thanks in anticipation Michael |

| Michael, the reversing light switch was standard on the Y and is not an extra. Although you may be able to see it from underneath, I don't think you can remove it from there as it unscrews from the gearbox and will foul the gearbox cover. The easiest way to access it it to remove the gearbox cover and it will be found on the nearside. Jack |
