MG MG Y Type - Rear door stays
Does anyone happen to know where I might find one (or ideally a pair) of door stays which are missing from the rear doors of my YB. It would'nt be difficult to make them but would be easier with a pattern. After all the help I had with steering wheel restoration hardly dare ask again but nevertheless would be grateful for any help

Geoff Email me off line - I have a pair floating around my workshop. Can also fit brand new rubber buffers to them for you if you wish. Paul

Hi Geoff. Don't think I can help you with the actual stays(sold the last ones a little while ago) but if you can get or make some, I have a number of the correct Rubber Buffers that fit on them. Email me direct if any help to you.Keith

Got them put to one side for you Geoffrey. Do you need the cotter pins to secure them to the B post too? Paul

Thanks very much to Paul and Keith for prompt and helpful response. Grateful to Keith for offer of rubber buffers but as Paul has stays plus buffers plus cotter pins that seems best way through. Am therefore in touch offline with Paul to arrange for those. Wonderful service as usual. It will be nice not to have to hold the back doors to stop them opening too far. Best wishes Geoffrey Wilson
