MG MG Y Type - pedal draught excluder?

Should the Y have a draught excluder at the pedals like the TD? And if so is the TD one useable, like this one on eBay?

It wasnt fitted with one from the factory, but then neither was the TD. Its discretionary and I am thinking about getting one fitted to the YA.

They are easily available from Moss, NTG, and (cheapest price I have seen) the MG Octagon Car Club.
