MG MG Y Type - Original Sealed Oil Filters

Is there a way you can clean and reuse those sealed cannister oil filters? I have never had to worry about this in the past on my YA as I have a very discrete spin-on mod that was done when I had the car converted to unleaded. Sadly the guy who did that has now long since retired.

What are the other options please?
