MG MG Y Type - original radiator?

I finally got the time (and financial backing from SWMBO) to have the radiator recored and I suspect that it is the original one fitted from the factory judging by the condition and copper plates on the radiator as described in "Let there be Y's". Amazing quality I'd say! Modern radiators crumble after 10 years, so 57 years is not bad at all.

Any useful suggestions for the radiator-company? I think I will specify a high capacity-core even if I think the standard one will cope if in new condition?

I just had mine rebuilt to the same spec as before. After all, as you say, it worked for 57 years so it cant be all that bad a design.

According to my records just reviewed (shock horror), the radiator I had re-cored in 1998 cost me AUD$364.00.

I finally fitted it to Rufus in 2006 !.

I don't expect to get more than 10 years from a modern recore as it is half the weight of an original core.
