For those of you who are unsure what these are - they are the balance weights that are buried inside your Y Type distributor. They are precision made and extremely good! Over the years the weights that were originally fitted will have worn out and will fail, causing distributor failure. I have heard of a couple of instances of this. Up until now, the "cure" was to fit a distributor from an old BL Mini - this is no longer necessary as these will replace the old weights and be considerably more reliable. You dont have to wait for the old ones to fail on you in the middle of a run as these can be almost as easily fitted as a new set of points.
