MG MG Y Type - MG's Flooded Down Under
| Sadly the flooding in Australia has impacted our MG Community. A lovely fully restored Y-Saloon has spent several days under metres of floodwater and mud. The 75 year owner is devastated, but we are hopefull of saving the car. Unfortunately, the insurance will not cover the full cost of repairs, and the owner no longer has a workshop to carry out the repairs himself. A couple of other MG owners managed to save their cars, but have lost their homes, so have no where to store their cars at present. The MG Car Club of Queensland Rooms were also flooded several metres deep. The club was fortunate to move most of the treasured trophies and memorabilia, but lost a lot of books and almost all the catering equipment and furniture. If you would like to make a small donation to help those MG owners and the club recover from the disaster, please check this thread in the next few days. Thanks |

| That is very sad to read. I wish you all the best and when you are in business again, maybe I can donate one or two surplus MG books? |

| There is more news and a link for donations on the International MG Y-Type Website "News Page". You can even choose how your donation is distributed. Thanks everyone for their support so far. Here is the Y-Saloon that went under 15m of water for 2 days.
