MG MG Y Type - MG YA on eBay
| I do not know anything about this car, nor do I have an interest in the sale of it, but a rather pretty looking Y is currently on eBay at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160376901604&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123 Potential buyers should satisfy themselves as to the condition of the car and safe title. | Another one is: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140358859609&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123 I have no interest in the proceeds of sale from this vehicle nor do I know the seller. |

| Gosh 2 YA's I guess that they are known to the Register. The one in Scotland looks good and is a fairly early model (August 1947).The other one in Windsor needs more than a bit of TLC! Interesting to see what happens to them. Sincerely Jerry |

| The first of these failed to reach its reserve, being bid up to £6300. I had some interest in the auction as I was offered the car while looking for a Y earlier this year. The car was located near Aberdeen and I live on the Isle of Wight, so I had it inspected professionally in preference to a personal look. The car was not as good as it appears in the photographs, the respray being particularly poor. So I passed on it, later finding a better YB for less than the asking price for this one. The car is now for sale by a dealer for £9950: http://www.classic-sportscar.co.uk/Cars/MGYASaloon%201947/front.htm This is some increase from the ebay top bid. Caveat emptor! Mike Long |
