MG MG Y Type - MG Y website Regalia page now has on-line ordering
We are pleased to announce our totally revamped Regalia page on www.mgytypes.org, using our very own secure server! You can now enter your order online and also submit your Visa, MasterCard, or Solo debit card with full confidence and total security! For traditionalists though, the old method of faxing or telephoning your order through will remain in place. If you process your order On-Line you will even get an email confirming your order details. At this time we are not calculating postage online, but if you want to be contacted with a cost of postage prior to us charging your card, we will do that and let you know the final cost. We hope that you will enjoy using this enhanced feature, and that it makes ordering Regalia more convenient and user friendly for you. Best wishes, The MG Car Club Y Type Register.

Hi Paul, this new service finally made me order some stuff I always wanted but due to the lack of a fax machine always delayed ;-) I wonder if I was the first to use this service ? Something that might make it easier for overseas customers is probably if you can give some clue about the postage, the ordering system itself is very simple to follow but then you have to trust (as I do) that the postage might be reasonable. Perhaps a rough guide (i.e. books within Europe from three to five GBP, to the States about eight GBP ?) might help ? regards Manfred

Hi Manfred I would like to make it quite clear that we will not be advising cost of post & packing prior to posting, neither now, nor at any foreseeable point in the future. As Paul says, we can always advise this cost prior to charging your card if required, but after posting. Whereas I understand it may be preferable for customers if we were to advise cost of P&P in advance, this is not at all easy with so many variables. You will have to continue to trust that postage is reasonable & I assure you we are not in this to make money! And to answer your question, no you were not the first to use this service - in fact the 3rd! David

Hi Manfred Thank you for your feedback. It is always much appreciated, especially when we do something new and audacious like this! Who knows what we will do next??? Slight correction to David's note, you were in fact the second - I was the first to use it as a serious use (as opposed to just testing), but then I did have an advantage posting the update at about 3:55am GMT and 8pm the day before in my local time zone! You were hard on my heels at 4:43am, and another customer at 7:30am! As to the postage, a confirator wouldn't be too much more work to do, however, the committee prefered to stick with the manual charging so you will have to trust David and Jack. You can always add up the stamps on your shipment but dont forget to add a little extra for any packaging! As to the future ... you'll just have to await developments to see what further thrills we can bring you! Best wishes Paul

Great addition to the Y registry. Makes it a lot easier and elimates the problems of the past with faxing the orders in. Frank
