MG MG Y Type - MG Y Type website now hosts video clips

For those who haven't yet noticed, the MG Y Typewebsite(www.mgytypes.org) has entered into hosting video clips from films featuring Y Types!

These can be found by going to www.mgytypes.org, scroll down the Menu to Artistic Ys, and selecting Ys on Film.

Just another great way to get your Y Type fix!

We are currently hosting five clips, four scenes from the BBC Drama 'Murder at the Vicarage' and one from TalkbackThames's 'Sweeney 2'.

Hopefully more to follow as we get permission from the various bodies involved.

In the words spoken by Doctor Haydock (aka the late Michael Browning) to Mrs LeStrange (aka Norma West) in 'Murder at the Vicarage', "Enjoyment is the key to it all", to which the reply is "I know Doctor, I know" - speaking from a Y Type, I couldn't have expressed it better myself!

Fantastic! How on earth have you done that?

If you mean obtaining permission - persistance (it took about 3 months of negotiations!). If you mean technology - very basically and this stage and it is my intention to find a better quality way if I can!

Glad you enjoyed them though! They are great fun.

Incidentally all of these films are available through Amazon on DVD or VHS. Do check that they are compatible with your national system before you buy unless like me you have a universal VHS player and a universal DVD player. They are all GREAT films in their own right and worth having even if there wasn't an MG Y in them. Of course, because there is ... they are essential to own!!!

Remember "Enjoyment is the key to it all" - that is SUCH a fantastic line, and being spoken by a Y driver ... I only wish we had been able to ask Michael Browning if he enjoyed driving the car in those scenes as much as his face seems to say in that scene!!
