MG MG Y Type - leaking radiator temp fix
Hi. Latest issue is the radiator on my YB is leaking. Not too badly so don't want to buy a new radiator yet. Can I use Radweld or similar as a temporary fix? Or might this have an adverse impact on the engine cooling system? Thanks, Marc.

Dont see why not Marc. Effectiveness will depend on how bad the leak is though. Before you do that though, back flush the radiator and the block to get all the rust and c*&p out. Paul

Of course you can use Radweld or similar products, but if the radiator is leaking, due to it's poor condition, it's cooling capacity will be down, too. Adding Radweld won't improve that one bit! As a temporary fix in the winter it will do. Although very expensive (mine cost EUR 280/GBP 250) recoring the radiator has been one of the best things I did to the Y. It never overheats even when used in anger in hot weather.
