MG MG Y Type - Colour of gauges


Does anyone know for sure what the colour of the instruments of a MG YT are? I assume it was the grayish tone rather than the green version.

Yes - grayish rather than green - at least mine are.

Grey faces are just faded Green - should be the same green faces as TC instruments in my opinion.

Why would the factory have different colour faces - no reason at all - the primary goal after the war was to make as many cars as possible using "off the shelf" parts.

Time to drag out and read "Let there be Y's" again !.

Thank you Paul and Tony. I did strip TC instruments out of a TC in 1966. They where definitely gray (and definitely not faded). If not mistaken, does Moss offer green and gray instruments.
What page do you refere to regarding "let there be Ys"?
