MG MG Y Type - Angouleme et les amis francais du 'Y'

I've decided that as part of my Y's 60th birthday celebrations she and I will be going to the Circuit of the Ramparts in Angouleme, France, in mid September. If you don't know this event, it's as if the Goodwood Revival has taken over a charming medieval town instead of a racing circuit. I first went in 2008 and it was a great weekend. I shall be driving south over two or three days, avoiding autoroutes, on about 6-8 September, to spend some time in the south west with friends before the Circuit itself on 16-18 September.

I wonder if we have any Y-owners or friends in France, either around Angouleme itself, or roughly on the route between Caen, Le Mans, Tours, Poitiers and Angouleme? I'll be staying with friends just outside Angouleme. It would be great to make contact with fellow enthusiasts in France if possible. Je parle francais assez bien...

Any suggestions or contacts will be very welcome.

Oh! Tim I am so envious. Perhaps next year I can renew my love of Y motoring in France, just now Ma voiture est panne. I will have to make do this year with towing the caravan down to Montpelier behind the Astra. Bon Voyage Bryan
