MG MG Y Type - A Tribute to Joseph Lucas
Having spent countless hours studying technical information about the 9 post Lucas voltage regulator and its vississitudes, I wish to pay homage to Joseph Lucas: http://www.hummingbirds.net/lucas/index.html

Despite the debt we all owe to Lucas, did you know that a solid state regulator is available for the MGA which looks as if it would work in a Y? http://www.mgaguru.com/mgtech/electric/et232.htm

The solid state regulators featured on the mgaguru can be had to atch any generator made, British or other. I have on on our TD and am very pleased with it. Bob Jeffers makes the regulators and calibrates them to the generator being used and mounts it in the original regulator case, then shines the case up so the whole thing looks better than new. I can highly recommend the regulator or any other product that Bob Jeffers supplies. Cheers - Dave
