MG Midget and Sprite Technical - where to buy stainless wheel nuts
I have minilite type alloys on my car. They use a tapered wheel nut with a larger bearing area than the standard taper nut for steel wheels. You can buy the nuts from moss (TT6320) but they only supply a chrome version. Does anyone know if these are available in stainless, and if so where from? Many thanks.

If your minilite copies were from MGOC then the standard Rostyle wheel nuts fit and are available in S/S see - http://www.mgocaccessories.co.uk/INFODOC/04.Wheel_&_Tyre_Packages_Part3.pdf Wheel nut- Stainless steel W650A Price: £2.40 Including VAT at 20% Wheel nut- Stainless steel with logo W655A Price: £2.40 Including VAT at 20%

R T you might check with suppliers for ATVs. Some of those use a 3/8" X 24 thread stud and a wider base flare than standard lug nuts. I don't know if they have them in stainless though. I'd be very wary of using stainless lug nuts though, stainless has a tendency to gall when torqued against standard steel unless you use a good anti sieze compound. You still run the risk of having a lug nut sieze on the stud which would be a real problem.
