MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Tyre recommendations
Ok, before you all get fed up with my questions, this one has come about from another topic, but what tyre recommendations do you have for a sticky road legal tyre going on a Minilite type wheel 13" Thanks for looking. Wayne.

Wayne I saw the post you're on about Willy posted from Australia in England we perhaps need to allow more for wet weather use too As prop put you need to keep balance in the car and that also applis to balance in things like tyres There downsides to sticky tyres as well as good grip advantage - usually quick wearing, only usually well suited to dry roads, even too much grip for entertainment Tyres are a vital part of the car but are also one component in the suspension, braking and steering systems so need to balance in these systems Tyres depend on the car, the way it's set up, the way you drive, the type of driving you doand so on - there was a recent thread on the subject of tyres and no doubt loads in the archives Next will involve wheel and tyre sizes I have Yokohama A-Drives on my 13" Minilite copies as they were part of the wheel/tyre package and I'm very happy with them for my personal style of driving all year round on the road, no track days My last advice to you, some people upgrade their cars to a point where for them they lose the fun of the original standard car but still can't get the car to what they want it to be As Onno, who likes a well modded car has put, a good standard car can be a pleasure to drive

Perhaps I should change my post to read "Reccomendations for sticky road legal tyre in British weather" Cheers Wayne.

Goodrich directional on front and Toyo on back works well - and directional is for the rain :)

I'd always recommend a full set of 4 tyres, same all round.
