MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Touching up scratches
I have a fairly deep scratch on my wing (fender). I have carefly filled it with several layers of cellulose paint so the paint is now proud of the surface. How long do I need to leave it before cutting back with wet and dry paper?

in my experiance the longer the better! at least one week 2 is better

I agree with Onno. let the paint harden. Give it a gentle rub down with 1500 grit wet n dry, then a buff with some cutting paste. Dont rub to enthusiasticly though, i have seen people rub through the paint down to the primer. Not on an MG i hasten to add.
