MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Throttle cable mounting bracket

Can anyone tell me where i can get one from ?

The bracket which is bolted near the twin carbs .

I seem to be missing a spacer washer on the hinged part so when the throttle cable is moved the moving part of the bracket is on a slant .

Hope you can all understand my description !

do you mean the heat shield?

item #17 below

http://www.ukmgparts.com/browse.aspx?CID=a50709b2-a969-4cce-a883-ab5908543e80&SID=945cb1cd-1088-459c-af03-45022829fa50

its use is shown more clearly in this link, but they don't seem to sell the part (probably they do, but as is typical, the on line catalog is not complete):

you needed to tell us you have a 1500 model.... try a Triumph specialist as it's common to the Spitfire.

David - click on 'View vehicle profile'

those with a vehicle profile displayed make it easier for others :)

Nigel if people are asking for help, it behoves them to make it as easy as possible for the ones giving the help - would you agree? I have never looked at any vehicle profile and am not about to start.
David Smith

I don't even know how to create a vehicle profile for myself ( I have tried when I've seen others with one, but got stymied). So, I often forget to look whether anyone has got one, I guess.

I agree David and I think one way to do that is to put up their vehicle profile as it's so easy to forget to put something relevant in a post

Nigel and Norm , thanks for your replies . David i do appologise that i didnt post all the relevent information.I do hope that you can forgive me !

D Stratton

Forgive you?

For posting an unclear question, certainly!

For driving a 1500? Let me think about that.
