MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Rear Suspension Torque Settings

Hello

I am about to refit some new rear leaf springs and looking at the moss catalogue it states that:

"Don't over tighten the nuts or bolts holding the rubber pivot bushes in place, correct torque settings are published in factory and aftermarket workshop manuals and should be adhered to."

I have had a look in all the books I have and can't find the torque settings.

Does anyone know what they are?

Thanks

Simon

about 30 to 40 ft lbs will do; use a bit of rubber grease on all bush contact points on assembly - this lets the bushes and pivots settle into a normal position when you lower the car back onto its wheels.

I seem to remember being advised to do the final tighten after bouncing a bit and once the car is back in a state of normal ride height, to avoid having a permanent twist on the bushes.
Rob Armstrong

my method obviates that.
