MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Flywheel Pilot or Spigot Bush

I've had a look in the archives but can't find what I want to know.

I am fitting a 12V engine into my 1966 car, which originally had a 1098 engine. There is no bush in the end of the 12V crankshaft. The Moss catalogue lists two different bushes, part numbers 1A1559 and AHU1026A. Which do I need to mate up with the original gearbox?

Is the difference the outside diameter of the bushing? On my set of bits, the gearbox first motion shaft has a diameter of 1/2" and the hole in the crankshaft has a diameter of 3/4".

not 100% sure this answers your question but there are 2 types of bush, a plain phosphor-bronze one and a needle roller.

If the hole in the crank is indeed 3/4", then you need the later pilot... the needle bearing one. The earlier is a bronze bushing with an OD of 5/8". The input or first motion shafts are the same size.
