MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Fitting Rear Bump Stops

I am hopefully going to get the axle back on the car this weekend.

I have bought new bump stops, but I am struggling to get them on. I have tried warming them up and using washing up liquid to get them over the spigot but still struggling.

Any easy ways to do this?

just did mine..
washing up liquid certainly helps..
Otherwise a firm screwing motion (ooo errr)
worked well
