MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Drivers footwell carpet
| I fitted a carpet set to my 68 Sprite a while ago, but never got round to fitting the piece in the drivers footwell. It wasn't trimmed to go round the "organ pedal" throttle, or the dip switch. Now I've gradually sorted through many of the more significant faults and problems, I'm now on to niggles. Should the carpet have the corners trimmed (and the edges bound) to suit, or are the foot controls meant to mount on top of the material with screws through to the floor? Mk |

| The carpet should be trimmed. Normally you would cut a slot to fit around the accelerator. I can't remember how it would be trimmed for the dipswitch. |
