Got a cam with it as well? I'd start with 2 40's cool bit of kit!

Onno, Cheers, I have a guy building the engine for me that has a cam for it , i didnt get one with it , i have done a bit of reading on it and decided to get it professionaly built as its not a simple bolt on conversion like a 7 port. Carbs might be 40's as you say I have seen on a couple of 8 port minis and I could be mistaken I thinks it looks cool as well unfortunatley the price wasnt !! Andy

If you are planning on using 40's, make sure you get the correct ones, I think DCOE 151's are correct. There are a lot of second hand pairs around that would not be suitable. Cheers John

Is it being built in Ashford by any chance? Cos' I know a man in Ashford who rather specialises in Arden 8 ports... Should be a nice conversion :-)

James, Yes your right im dropping it of tomorrow to him , seen a couple of the mini ones Bill has done and they look great. Loads to do on the bodywork still but the Arden was the part i thought i would struggle to get so pleased i found one so soon Andy

Andy Bill is the only A series engine builder I would trust to get an 8 port right. He's been racing them since the 70's... Let me know when he's installing the 8 port and I'll drop in and have a look... :-) James
