MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Anti-roll bar

Need to change my anti-roll bar, am i better off doing it with the wheels on or off the ground?
I Henderson

Surely ease of access would determine that the front end is jacked up wouldn't it?

I did mine at the weekend with the car on the ground. A little awkward as the link nuts were tight but otherwise no problem. If it did become difficult i
I could have easily jacked it up.

Did mine on the ground inc drop links, no problems at all

Did mine on the ground...no problems at all, took about an hour & 2 beers!

Can it be done either way? Yes.
Is there a problem with doing it in the air (like with the wishbone bushes)? Not really.
If you are dealing with adjustable end links, it would be beneficial to have the car sitting level on all four wheels when setting the adjustment.

Why not run the front end up on the ramps and end the dilemma - you do have ramps, don't you ?

Either way, just undo the mounts on the chassis legs first

This will allow you to move the bar laterally to access the mounting bolts on the a-arms ;)
