MG Midget and Sprite General - you are joking?
This amused me when I saw it http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-12966698 What on earth would that nutter do if she walked into a British newsagents? Apart from the "top shelf" magazines would she fire bomb the printers of all our daily tabloids? LOL
Bob Turbo Midget England
Although I can see what you mean with amusing this still freaks me out.. That there's still this kind of ignorance in the 21'th century even if she's just another christian nutterball..

Alex, that woman would be horrified that her photo and message is now being spread all over the world via the very computer she wants destroyed, sort of ironic isn't it!
B Young
That's if the picture in fact is real, which I highly doubt for numerous reasons but it doesn't make it less funny.
Alexander Sorby Wigstrom
"who cares if he cracked the German enigma code and won WWII", is quite an interesting aside to introduce at that point in an argument! By the way, is she afraid of the computer, or of the internet? Norm "actually, the Poles cracked the code, Turing was instrumental in making it possible to continue to do so, and in great volume" Kerr

"who cares if he cracked the German enigma code and won WWII", is quite an interesting aside to introduce at that point in an argument! I believe she is making a rhetorical statement by demonstrating the absurdity of the original argument. If you notice, she is also holding a rainbow (gay pride) flag... i.e. she is trying to demonstrate how ridiculous it is to ban something because it is "homo" attacking a painting because it shows two women in a non-sexual pose with bare breasts as a homosexual image? someone has issues...
Chris Edwards
There are some Christians who like naked breasts and Spridgets but I hope no-one thinks I'm a nutterball!
Daniel Thirteen-Twelve
Daniel, Just to be clear I don't condemn Christianity or any other religion by that part and it was not my intention to offend anyone in anyway, the nutterball part referring to her actions (and not her religion per say), which due to here statements probably has it origin from religious beliefs, although me assuming that as Christianity when it also could have been plenty of other religion was wrong. Also if anyone hasn't noticed by now there's also a website address on the placard as well.
Alexander Sorby Wigstrom
... a website whose address is for sale.
Geoff E
Technically she's right, about the homo part that is. Aren't we all still of the homo sapiens species after all?
Alex G Matla
It is an intentionally extreme form of satire. Quite clever, even down to using an unallocated web address so she doesn't inadvertently advertise something else.
Guy
That might have been a genuine website address back in 2007 when the photo was taken. Unlike newspapers which become wrappings after 3 days, computers and the internet have memories. Always amuses me that people campaign to abolish things that are totally impossible to control worldwide. Steve (Apologies to Bob Turbo Midget for making another appearance on his beloved Midget site! - over from MGA)
Steve Gyles
As long ago as 2007? I still think it is extreme satire - done to the extent that it is difficult to tell which side of the argument she is really on. Except for the flag. She is saying that trying to legislate to abolished homosexuality is as ridiculous as trying to abolish computers. The link being Alan Turing.
Guy
by the standard that a good joke is one that people get without it having to be explained to them, then, she's not very funny good attempt, though, because she sure got us all talking, didn't she? Norm

Steve If only I could understand how to effectively use the Archives we could have some real fun making one or 2 individuals look exceedingly silly. However they are safe at present due to others and I all having problems finding exact threads in the archives. See you at Silverstone!
Robert (Bob) Midget Turbo
Did anyone watch the recent Louis Theroux documentary on the Westboro Baptist Church? Those guys ARE a bunch of nutters, fact!
