Im curious as to your thoughts

Now that the USA has just made the last shuttle flight to ISS thus GIVING ISS to the russians and china, without so much as a cheese burger...

what wil they do with it...my guess is they will turn it into a nuke weapons plate form agiast the USA & UK

I HAVe to admit, we had a great run in space, lots of great devolopments, im sorry to see the end of NASA

Oh dont get me wrong, im sure will have a few estates un-manned rockets go up, but I dont see russia or china being vary giving or charitable with there space craft, essentially if they dont want us in space, or want to charge $1 dollar less then it would cost to build a new space craft ...there isnt anything we can do about it.

Firstly the Chinese have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the ISS in fact it is owned and operated by Russia

Europe
Canada
and the USA

The USA have given nothing away at all and I am sure that Russia has no plans to attack the USA (well not whilst Barack is in charge anyway. Now if an idiot got to be president well who knows? LOL.)

So rest assured mate the ISS does not pose a threat.

Robert, I listen to some of the Fox news shows and haven't heard anything there about what Prop is talking about. I don't know where he gets that stuff. I suspect some blogs written by who knows what kind of conspiricy theorists but he certainly doesn't let logic stand in the way of any of his international or political conspiricy theories for sure. Last winter he was expecting petrol here to be up to what you chaps are paying ine GB after the great Gulf of Mexico oil spill, and it did go up to over $4 a gallon for a short time, but now is down to around $3.30 a gallon now. My predictions were wrong I thought it would stabilize around $3.50.
As for the end of NASA, that's hardly the case, just the end of the Space Shuttle program. With our budget problems funding will be cut but some projects will continue to go ahead and NASA will continue I'm sure. As for any threat to our security from space, the ISS would be the last place I'd worry about anyway, too well monitored for that.
Relax Prop, and just enjoy our trip to Midget 50 next weekend and have a good time there, the rest will sort itself out without our worry.

Its my own theroy....my thinking is we dont have anyway of getting a man into space once the last space shuttle comes home...so really we are at the whim of the russians and china to hitch hike a ride

If they dont want us there, what can we do about it other then call acme roadrunner technologies and get a huge rubber band to fire our rubbernouts into space...hahaha

And if we do beg hard enough to for them to give into letting us bum a ride they can charge what ever they want....A $ billion a head wouldnt be uncalled for considering how much those pinkies hate us.

So if they decide to turn ISS into a nuke plateform aginst us....

Seriously, what can we do to stop them, say please, its not fair. Remember we got nothing to go into space with.

Don't worry about the ISS being used as a platform for launching nuclear weapons. It wouldn't be practical. However, with enough solar panels to generate enough electricity, you could mount one terrific microwave beam generator up there and hold a would-be aggressor's nation hostage if he threatened to start a nuclear war. Or a conventional one, either! In fact, with a death-ray weapon such as that, one could (dare I say it?) rule the world! Stay tuned to Fox News for more from the Paranoid Press Association.

I read that Mr Obama asked NASA to concentrate efforts on the design of a manned Mars mission to be launched by 2030. This, I believe, is where the (limited) funding is now being chaneled.
If true, it's far more exciting a project than Ivan and Yoko floating round the earth in an old tin can.

My theroy has legs, space debri on collision course with ISS sometime tomarrow, my guess the russians want to blow it up along with the last shuttle as a warning to us to stay out of space.

As you are aware those of us who have been frequenting these boards for more than 5 minutes will remember a subject called "flamewars"

Some of us on here were quality flamers and did our best to ridicule the far right racists on that BBS a good while ago.

Sadly "the good guys" were the ones who did not hide behind a false "handle" whilst others openly used it to spread hate and mis information anonomously.

I eventually asked Mike to view the right wing nazi propaganda being placed there and suggested he remove it which thankfully he did.

Sadly a bit of banter is a good thing however you will always get someone who uses it to push their cause whether that be religion, right wing politics, left wing politics or simply racism so it inevitably becomes extremely nasty.

We must take care not to encourage such behaviour, plus of course we do have one or two quality practitioners who would murder an unsuspecting novice. LOL

By the way my car tours France and does autotests and sprints and has done for more than 20 years. I believe you simply like to find a muddy field and park there with yours for reasons only known to yourself? you may however know differently? LOL.

So did mine before I started modifying it...
As its still a car in development/progres it, like yours, is sometimes spending reasonable ammount of time in the workshop while it should be on the road.

Anyway, the appocolypse is still predicted to start in Linconshire, so you guys do with this knowledge what you want. :)
