MG Midget and Sprite General - Will a Mk11 Sprite/Mk1 Midget frame fit
Will the roof frame which splits in two on the MkII Sprite/MkI Midget fit a frogeye roof and fixing points as my roll bar makes it very difficult to use the original Mk1 Sprite roof frame and I think that the later frame may just suit the bill

Gary, I doubt it will fit as I have just tried the opposite. I have a set of Frogeye roof sticks and tried them on my car just out of curiosity but the roof wouldn't reach the screen - it was far too tight. I suspect you would find the opposite - the roof would be all saggy. That is unless your rollbar is big enough to take up the slack! David

Gary, I have a spare Mk2 hood frame here in town - would you like me to bring it along to the next Ace meet, so you can try it out?
Paul H
I use a mk1 1/2 Midget hood frame with my Frog, with no probs (also use 2 bits of Velcro strap around the frame that helps keep the tension)

Many thanks for the feedback. Yes Paul I'd love to try your mk11 frame. Many thanks

Gary why not split the mk1 frame you only neeed to over sleeve it in the middle. Keith
K A Smith
Gary, I would swap you a MK2 frame for a one-piece MK1. I could bring it to Burghley.
Guy
Can you bring it Le Mans :0)

"K A Smith, Berkshire, United Kingdom Gary why not split the mk1 frame you only neeed to over sleeve it in the middle. Keith" That was my plan B
