MG Midget and Sprite General - Weight of Midget seat
hi.. Does anyone know the approximate weight of a MG Midget seat? I am looking for a couple as mine are screwed and found a decent pair online, just need the weight so I can work out shipping costs. Anyone got any ideas?

Mine ('76 reg) are sitting in my garden at the moment. I'll pick one up and hop on the scales tonight, and let you know.

Hi you can easily determine the weight of any component on a Midget like this: Take the weight of the entire vehicle, and subtract the weight of the rest of the vehicle that is not the part in question. Simple! But, to save you the maths, I went out and weighed one of mine this morning for you: 23lbs. Norm

cheers chaps! does anyone know the measurements? height/width/length? i cant access my MG to measure. I guessed at 90x50x50 for the quote purposes :)

width = 19" length = 23" height = 32" with the headrest (less, if you can get them out, but usually they can not be removed due to the clip on the end of the tube that retains them pretty well Norm

Curious. I put one of mine on the scales last night, together with headrest and runners - 15.3Kg, which is about 33lbs. Maybe the previous owner has stashed some gold bars/lead/dead bodies in the foam.
