MG Midget and Sprite General - Wanted: Thermostat housing for vert flow radiator
I'm looking for a thermostat housing for a vertical flow radiator. As per pic. I've tried quite a few places and although they're listed no one has them in stock and some have had them on back order for quite a while. I'd like a new one if possible buy if someone had a good secondhand one that'd do me. Will pay a few pints for a good one. :)

I'll have a look to see what I've got, but they tend to corrode where they go inside the hose.

Or you can use one from a mini They are angled slightly upward but work fine
Onno K
| It depends on whether you're after originality or not. I think mine was from an Allegro.

Greg We have a couple here if you are stuck

I was after an original looking one. Dave O mine had corroded right there and not left a lot for the hose. Lawrence the first one I'd found these on ebay before but at $40 was a far bit and wondered about the quality of it as the bolt holes aren't even central in the casting. The second one would work and reasonable price but I was hoping for orignal style. David the bottom one looks like me. Is that the Morris Minor 1000? Are the hose sizes the same for the 1275?

the bottom one in pic is the MG vertical rad one; the other one (Morris Minor or Mini, not sure) has the outlet pointing upwards at a slight angle like Onno mentioned. Think the hose size is the same, it's close enough to fit anyway. My MG one is a little bit chewed round the end but will clean up, Paul may have a better one.
