MG Midget and Sprite General - Very Sad News Stuart Bullas RIP

Some of you may have already heard the news of the tragic and untimely death of Stuart Bullas. most of you may not think that you'd heard of him until I tell you that was him in his yellow hillclimb Frogeye which featured on Top Gear some years ago.

How terrible that he should have such an accident with no-one around to help him.

A sad loss to the autosports world too

That is awful. I'm always careful under car but that makes me want to be even more careful.

So sad - he was a true character ....

That's a very sad story but one needs to take care when working on their car. A friend is always welcome but if you have to do it outside and alone etc, have someone check on you from time to time in the interests of safety.

Im also always carefull working under the car but ... last year i was working under the car and when I crawled underneath it I saw my axle stands next to the car ... in my haste I completly forgot them and had worked under the car while still on the jack.
I then realised I was lucky nothing happened.
So stupid while I knew better!!!

Another sad lost for the spridget comunity, my condolences to his family.

Tragic! So sorry to hear this news.

And you know, it could have happened to any of us. I'm very cautious when working under my Midget, and this is a sad reminder why.

Sad to hear this, condolences to his family and friends. Forty years ago I worked (a while) as a line mechanic at a VW dealership in Arizona. Lighter cars without a ladder frames were always a concern for me. I never lost one, but their were stories about others who had.
