| Carl, Brilliant, enjoyed every minute of that. While still in the USAF (1971) stationed in Arizona an SR-71 had to land at our base (at night) with a problem, don't even know what. It was quickly shuttled off to a special hangar, doors closed, armed guards posted with orders to shoot, no one allowed near the hangar. A repair crew was flown in, repairs made, and it took off the next night in the cloak of darkness. L.C. |
