MG Midget and Sprite General - TRAVEL TO MIDGET50

I have posted on the other thread - but thought I'd start one, for those who don't go all the way down that one!

Just think - after Midget50 - there will be no more threads started by me :)

However, in the meantime .....

PLEASE CAN EVERYONE WHO IS GOING TO BE TRAVELLING IN ANY SORT OF GROUP - WHATEVER THE SIZE, LET ME KNOW WHERE FROM AND TIME - BY NOON TOMORROW (FRIDAY) IF POSSIBLE.

This will allow me to get it uploaded onto the Midget50 website, so that others get an idea of what's going on - and also Bill has an idea of groups - large and small.

The more little lines of cars going to Burghley, the more special it will make the day - and the more fun you will all have.

Ken - I know that you're going from Wisbech - any idea what time - as there's a few others going - but I daren't suggest they leave with me at 5.30am ......! I'm not even keen on that idea - but, I will have piles of cones to unearth from the undergrowth that I'm going to hide them in a couple of days earlier!

Sorry folks, I really really don't have time to trawl through all the old threads on what's going on - I'm sure that you can understand that Midget50 is taking up loads of my time at the moment, and the poor horses are feeling abandoned at best ....!!!!!

I am hoping to come up either Friday pm or early Sat am from North Devon. Onto M5 at J27 and up north from there - either M5 - M42 or use the Foss way.

Traveling with the ferry on friday eve from Hook van Holland to Harwich.
Slowly cruising on saturday towards Burghley avoiding Linc. feminists. ;)

OK - keep them coming, but they won't get listed on the website for a little while!

These, and others I've heard from, pretty much make up cars coming from all areas, so I'm sure that there will be a great, fun atmosphere - especially when the balloons are on :)

There is also some other breaking news which is being announced - initially on the website - so - keep a close eye on there over the next 24 hours ........!!!!! (News page)

OK - there's now a list on Midget50 website - anyone who knows of anymore, please let me know.

They won't be listed now for awhile, but, if anyone asks, at least I can refer them ...!

There has also been the other news put up - of interest to those who have also entered the Autosolo - if anyone is around on the Saturday - do come over, even if you don't enter the actual competition - just come and see the fun - and meet up with a nice bunch of people.

I will be in Maidstone the night before.
so I'll most likely take the boring M25 M11 M1
Though dependant on the time we might ditch the motorway's and drive the smaller roads

Update on travel from N Devon.
I am planning on departing Beaford around noonish and then bimble up the M5/M4 fosse way etc for arrival in Stamford area about 1900 hrs if all goes well.
