MG Midget and Sprite General - Transporter

Hi everyone,
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction here.
I am moving house from Plymouth to Cheltenham and need to get my midget moved, so can anyone recommend a transporter service which is reasonable and reliable
Thanks for your help in advance and Merry Christmas

John,
I will avoid the temptation to say why don't you drive it - -oh, dear, look I have said it after all!

You could try seeking a bid on Shiply.com for moving your car. It is a good system. Basically you post a message about what you want moving and where from/ to and wait for bids for the job. Then choose which one suits you best. The only down side is that you cannot enter into a "conversation" with possible transporters until after you have accepted their offer. So this can seem a bit arms length and risky.

I have also used a firm called PB Logistics. One man operator uses a closed box trailer for moving cars which means you can also put loose stuff in like spare engines etc. Very careful and friendly. Not local to you but he does do competitive rates especially if he can arrange it as a return trip to another delivery. Try an email to him: paul.bowden2ATskyDOTcom (replace capitals). Mention me, dark wet Cumbrian nights and Maseratis!

(for others who may be interested, he also moves horses - carefully!)

A friend recently moved from Essex to Pembrokeshire and negotiated with the removal firm to put his Frogeye in the lorry with the house contents. May be worth considering.
