MG Midget and Sprite General - Track day at Le Mans
| Just to let off steam and to say what a cracking day I had today in the Midget on the Bugatti circuit at Le Mans. Fantastic fun, the Midget was impeccable, and I'm really pleased with the way it works when "used in anger" :) Certainly mixed in nicely with a group of all sorts of cars, from Healey 3000, a TR3, a couple of B's, an E-type, an Auto-Union Monza, a Matra Jet, an X1/9 and a couple of Alpine A110's (including one damn fine race prepared one that went past me a few times then ended up in the kitty litter :) ). Got quite a few compliments on what a nice car the Midget is (not mine, which is a bit shabby, but in general :) ), especially as it was the only one there, and quite rare in FR (ironically, as they're quite common just over that small stretch of water :) ). I'm stoked - 60 mins of track time and the last session was just spot on. Nice 2h drive back, too, in the sunshine. I love my Midget :) I'll be going to bed soon, but no doubt dreaming of trying to get the best line through Dunlop chicane and the Garage Vert... Take care, all, OSM P.S. Loved the Yoko A.drives too - thanks for the good advice all. Just grippy enough to be safe, but still not enough not to be fun. Including one brown trouser moment, which was my fault, and not the tyres' :) |

| Great news, of course you've got to go back again to try the tyres in the wet :) yours is a good colour for a scruffy car too (see my profile) |
