MG Midget and Sprite General - Top gear and a trip to the UK

My father is sending my wife and I on a trip to the UK as a gift for my b-day. Would LOVE to see a live top gear episode, any idea how to get tickets???? We will be staying in London, trip still in planning stages. I plan on picking up a Smiths watch over there to match my gauges, kind of a watch nut so planning a day trip to see where Graham watches are made (may be in switzerland now).

Anyhow, help with top gear I plan on wearing my cowboy hat and american flag button up shirt so Jeremy can pick on me:-).

Im not sure this is still viable... But you can purchas here in the usa ...what is knon as a "euro rail " pass its good on any train and metro any where in europe... Students use them for sleeping ...get on a train ride out 4 hours and sleep then ride back 4 hours sleeping

Any way... You cant buy the pass over there has to be state side and good for 60 and 180 days

That said...i dont know if this program is still in effect, but if you travel like a hippie on walk about... It could save lots of cash for the better things like english food haguss and warm beer...mmm, MMM,good...and pot in amsterdam, and window whores in denmark... And you can hide your cash fromthe wife in switzerland during the devorce...hahaha

the UK isn't just London despite what Londoners and the London parliament believe

Top Gear is recorded well out of London and has a waiting list of many years for tickets I'm told (not that I personally would want to see that selfish, arrogant git Clarkson and his two sycophants, he's not the fun guy you think he is, he'll probably charge you to speak to him)

a day at Gaydon Heritage Motor Museum and the surrounding countryside would be much better anyway

Hope you have an awesome time - and, alot of small local tour companies will do nights in a hotel with a ticket to Top Gear - might also be worth asking around everyone when you have actual dates for that.

The local rag (newspaper sorry!) here did a fantastic one - on the same evening you could get to either Top Gear or Appassionata (horse display) - what a perfect night out for either or ....!!!!

Since your wife is coming, and, apparently it appears that there are women out there who do NOT like to spend all their time around cars and stuff - what does she like to do as well, so we can give her suggestions on how to spend all your money :)!
