MG Midget and Sprite General - Tonneau zipper

Does anyone have any experience with replacing the long zipper on a tonneau? I need to source a new one, and would like to match or come close to the ones behind the seats.

I have a '72 with headrest pockets, and other than the zipper going bad the rest of my tonneau in good shape.

I gave mine to my dry cleaners (who are excellent) and they scources and replaced the zip. They couldn't find a metal one but replaced it with a nylon one.

Does anyone know if its possible to get a waterproof one? I know that a flap over the top is an option but lots of fancy jackets are coming with 'self sealing' zips so wondered if it was possible to get a really long one for tonneaux. Need to get my tonneau altered to fit the MGF headrests properly so might as well get this done at the same time!
