MG Midget and Sprite General - Titan maifold on ebay - you're kidding, right
The good news is that a Midget/Sprite version of the Titan manifold has appeared on E-bay. All yours for £99.99. Sounds like a bargain to me (not).
Chris H (1970 Midget 1275)
Thats about $165 usa....intake ot exhaust ? I paid a little more for that. For my custom made Pacesetter knock off header...granted much better quality and materials.... But worth it That a about avg for exhaust here and well i think the maniflow intake that vizard orgasems over is around $350 at apt...basicaly scrap metal... 8 inches of pipe cut in half with a couple piece of flat stock welded on the ends

John Did you ever fit the mini spares one? If so how was the clearance? I fitted one to my A35 (1275 engine) and found a big improvement but there is plenty of room for bonnet clearance.
Rob Newt
Rob, it wasn't for me, but other people have reported that the Minispares one still needed modification for the midget bonnet. Cheers John

£100 doesn't seem overpriced for a Titan manifold if it's the correct one for a Spridget. By comparison how much would a new manifold for a webber cost? (bearing in mind that the the Spridget Titan is no longer in production and is therefore more rare).

| My first ever post on the BBS was to try and get some Titan manifolds made. They needed to have a batch to make it worth their while. Titan said they could do them for about £60 each if I could order 20 manifolds. I eventually got about twelve serious contenders, but when they found out the manifolds were then going to cost £80 each because we hadn't reached the 20 required, people started to pull out, so if someone pays £100 for the one on Ebay it will make me wonder why £80 was too much two years ago. | "if it's the correct one for a Spridget"...mine was from a mini and fitted perfectly. I still dont think we've ever seen a picture of 2 side by side with different angles to show that specifically is the key ?. I still firmly believe its simply that the Titan mounts it lower in relation to the head than most others. I certainly wouldn't (and didn't) pay £100 :-) |

I think l paid £15 for my Titan Spridget one.
Guy
I think I paid a similar price to Guy and that was with a HS4 carb which I sold on making my Titan a bargain. I think the seller had it on a Mini and didn't realise what he had. Mark

I think a fair amount of luck comes into if it will fit or not. That is if it's not a genuine Titan/Midget item. Some people report that the mini one fits ok, some say the Metro manifold fits. Every car is different, engine mounts of different thicknesses etc. It's nice if you can borrow one just to check! Cheers John
