| Dave, i like your solution, and your old car come to that, so maybe the next question should be, where to get stick on plates. Rach, thanks , yes i have |
| I Henderson |
Mt solution from inside the boot. One day I will cut those bolts down..

| BH Harvey |
Chrome led motorbike numberplate lights on mine. Looks great with the black and silver plates and not too bling
|
| Dave |
| Halfords LED running light/sidelight on a little plate joined to the holes in the rear valance that the wires for the old light used to come out of. for my solid plate, 'top down' needed a funny looking plinth thing to get the lamp far enough out. Mine's passed an MOT like this

| Rob Armstrong |
US type rubber bumper license mount with intergral lamps. I believe that the UK versions had a similar mount.
|
| B Young |
I found a small LED lamp on Ebay intended for motorbikes. Passed numerous MOTs now.

| Thanks everyone, i'm going to try the LED bolts, i will take and post pics. |
| I Henderson |
Thanks for all your pictures and advice, here is a before picture
|
| I Henderson |
I decided first to fit the LED numberplate lights , drilled through the plate in line with two holes i found under the plate.looked like this
|
| I Henderson |
Finally removed the old iron work and fitter nice silver domed bolts instead, thus keeping a bit of the rear linked to the chassis.

| err aren't you a bit young to be driving James? I did the same with the bolts on mine, also hammered aluminium 'spacers' between the buttress and the boot to try and straighten out the rear valance a bit... |
| Rob Armstrong |
It would be rude not to show you mine!!

| Andrew, do you have mgf seats in your car? Is your Rollbar selfmade and does it block the rearviewmirror? Lots of questions but a rollbar has been in my mind for a while now and it looks as if you have the same situation. |
| Arie de Best |
| OK; here's my back end. Needs more work, but not as much as my top-end that's lost almost all off its original finish, so it's normally hidden under a cover. A

| Anthony Cutler |
| I can't believe it has taken this long for someone to make that joke. Anthony, I think you need to get your coat... ha ha. Cheers, Malcolm |
| M Le Chevalier |
| Funny this question has been asked...I have just finished my new look rear. I must stop messing!!!
|
| Rob Newt |
| Rob I am loving the colour of you mg what colour is it? It looks like metallic blue? I am thinking of getting mine resprayed would love to do it that colour. |
| C Carter |
| "do you have mgf seats in your car? Is your Rollbar selfmade and does it block the rearviewmirror?" Arie - yes I do have MGF seats - they're so much more comfortable for an old man like me! Rollbar is sort of self made - I cut and welded the original bar and then set it back behind the rear scuttle to provide more seat movement and for neatness. It doesn't block the rear view mirror.
