MG Midget and Sprite General - Seats free to a good home (soon...)

Hello All

I have just bought some MGF seats on eBay, and will be collecting them at the weekend.

My next project will be to fit them. If anyone wants my old original ones ('76, black, small split in driver's seat) they will be free to a good home, just come and get them.

I reckon they might be available by Midget50, depending upon how lazy I am between now and then.

I'm in Peterborough, so just down the road (good luck getting them home in your Midget, though!).

We've got a pair of seat too, but up in Edinburgh.

They're not the original trim but they are comfy and are better than the vinyl in that you don't burn your legs and don't slide around! They're a grey velour stuff with red piping. Even if you don't want them as is, the frames would be fine for new covers, I expect. But, if you don't have seats and are on a budget then these are the ones for you! Came out of a 1500 midget but should fit most Spridgets.

Free to a good home.

We won't have space to take them to M50 I'm afraid but we could get them shipped if someone was that keen.

The passenger seat is out, replacement should be fitted tonight (firing up the angle grinder), driver's to follow, so the seats will be available for Miget50 weekend.

I haven't worked out my plan yet - Mrs + child number 2 may come up to Burghley in family car, in which case I could stick the seats in the boot, otherwise they will be in Peterborough for collection. I'll let you know nearer the day.

I can't get any commitment from Mrs W as to whether she will be coming up to Midget50 - she is going to wait and see what the weather does.

Probably best to assume that the seats will be at my place in Peterborough, I will text you with further info.

If she does decide to come to M50, I will let you know that, as well, and we can arrange a transfer of the seats there.

Incidentally, I had a hell of a job getting the MGF seats in - none of the original holes were even close to where the new runners sat, so I now have 9 (yes 9, don't ask) little holes in my floor that I need to patch up!
