Hi all, thanks for your kind words.
Martin was my uncle and I know he greatly enjoyed the outings and events he participated in through this site.
As I'm new to this site I'm not sure how well any of you knew Martin's ever-changing collection of cars, but hopefully some of you may know that he had a 1958(?) Frogeye which has been in our family (and in bits)for a lot longer than I have! Sadly Martin never managed to finish of his long-term project, however my Mum (his sister) and dad are now commiting to finally get the car finished and on the road as a tribute to both Martin my grandad who worked on the car together.
Due, in probably equal parts, to lack of time and knowhow they are looking for someone to carryout the work for them. So...
If anyone can recommend someone who can do this work we would be very grateful. As far as we know at the moment Martin had completed the majority of the mechanical work along with the bodywork, apart for the bonnet. So it is probably the electrics and assembly left to do. We would be looking for someone who would either be willing to come to work on the car in the garage where it is currently, or alternatively take it away along with all the necessary bits and do the work off site.

Appologies for the long message, and I hope this all makes sense. Any advice/tips/leads or just memories of Martin gratefully received!

Shame I'm not still in the UK.... I would have gladly offered to assist.

I may have some contacts though that would help...

Hi Mark.
If you do have any recommendations of garages or specialists in the Leeds/York area that wuld be very helpful. Its easy enough to find somewhere online but its always better if somewhere comes with a recommendation! Also, I dont suppose you know or have any contact details for the spray shop that Martin used for the car as we believe that the bonnet is still with them.

Ross, Whatever you do, do NOT loose the bonnet, they are VERY difficult to find and very expensive when you do, so you must find it... Sadly I don't know where Martin got his paintwork done, but Mick may well do.

As for suggesting who to finish the car off, try Paul Fish in Scu*thorpe, He's not easy to contact but when you do, you'll get a great job at a fair price...

Paul can be contacted on 0773 8524786 or 01652 628464

Good luck and lets see some pictures...

Mark.
