MG Midget and Sprite General - Prop was almost right about ISS....hahaha

I cant belive it, I almost nailed it,

As you recall several weeks ago, I said russia and china would turn ISS into a nuke weapons plateform agianst usa amd Uk, because we cant do anything about it, and why was that????

Because we gave away ISS to russia and china without so much as even a chesse burger as a trade

Well guess what ???? No nuke weapons plateform....its even better, can you say ....HOUSTEN, WE HAVE SPLASH DOWN.....HAHAHA

YEPP the russians have decided once ISS is finally finished being built at the end of 2012, over a year from now, the russians have decided to destroy that old piece of outdated space debri in early 2020

Hahaha....ARE YOU KIDDING ME, thats just rich, you cant make this stuff up, thats just to funny, so hundreds of billions of dollars sad loss of life, construction alone will take just shy of 15 years, and ISS will have a life expectancy of 6.5 years from fully complete built to splash down in the pacific ocean

Gee to bad the usa didnt have somekind of space ship to take us from earth to ISS, I bet if we did, we might be able to do something to prevent this from happening

And just think, we could have at least had a cheese burger as trade

I never saw that comming, as dark and sad bad as this is, thats just funny in its own dark way.

Anyone else really trusting the russians to know how to crash land ISS iinto the ocean, or will they make a math mistake and crash it into disney world in florida

Prop...the phophet

Time to embrace the horror
Prop

Heres hoping they take out that god awful centre of fat american cheese burger munching capitalism in Florida ;-) ha ha

You are barking!
M Le Chevalier

It may not be a bad thing Prop, but a blessing in disguise. The splash down may not have been planned, but a result of the Ruskies stuffing so many nukes into it that with the weight of it it can only maintain orbit for another 10 years.

So you guys best be on your best behaviour until then.

1.2 meters is not that long I think. from the connection on the aft of the engine to the inner fender, then forward through the hole and then to the other side under the slam panel. Wait, I'll measure mine....
Alex G Matla

Yep, my longest hose is over 1.3 m (4.3 ft) long, so you might even be short! I do have a thermovalve fitted.
Alex G Matla

LOL Alex - well placed :P
rachmacb

Well...im hoping im wrong on the hose length....i was eye balling it In the low light of end day
Prop

Yeah yeah, I know. Got confused by Prop's escapades.
Alex G Matla

On this topic: Just read that when ISS crashes in 2020 it will have gained 5 years! It was supposed to go down in 2015! Hurrah for the Russians then!
Alex G Matla

Alex...ive been finding you may be correct, if thats the case....im utterly speachless...i cant even wrap my mind around that!!!

I mean seriously what hell,,,, completely finish building the space station the end of 2012 and crash it in 2015...my god, if thats true, I say its time for a TOTAL DEFUND OF NASA....IT would be time for that rat hole to be exterminated

If your right alex and its looking like you are, what a complete waste time, money, and national flag waving support....suddenly im feeling a little more sympothtic towards tea party crowd, shut the government down.

Well, in 2020 the first-launched components of the ISS will be 22 years old. That's a long time in a hostile environment.

Keep in mind that the ISS is merely the latest - if largest - station to be deployed, and ALL of its many predecessors have now been deorbited. That's just the nature of the beast. Salyut (9 versions), Mir, Skylab, et al have all taken the plunge when they were no longer viable for whatever reason. So this is nothing new, and nine more years (at least) will make the ISS the longest-lived of any station to date.

Skylab was occupied for 171 days, Mir for 2.5 years, and any number of others for far less time than that. In comparison, the ISS has been continually staffed for almost 11 years to date, and by 2020 it will have hosted crews for a record-setting 20 years. Wikipedia also states the ISS may stay operational through 2028.

Just FYI,

So even if they do bring it down in 2020, it will still have had a long and distinguished career.

Prop, dont forget you dropped a bit of space crap on OZ a few years ago (sky lab iirc)
K Harris

Gryf and all, don't confuse Prop with acutal factual information, disturbs the aura of misinformation and delusion he has swirling around him most of the time. I think he's just jealous of the ISS as it's functioned much longer than his Midget and is still flying so to speak.
Let's see, he launched his Midget around 2007, drove it all of about 40 miles to Spridget 50 in 2008 and then promptly blew the engine on a trip to St. Louis later that year and it's still awaiting a proper re launch. Sounds like the ISS even at 3 years has outlived his Midget. LOL
B Young

Bill - I find it hard to believe most of what Prop says anyway as it is written in some kind of text similiar to English but with every other word spelt differently. Perhaps he speaks the truth but what we read is not what we are supposed to understand!!!!
Dave Price

Do you mean that Prop has been sent amongst us by a higher being to impart the human race with great wisdom, to spread the word of peace and tolerance but as yet we have not been able to find his "Rosetta Stone" in order to decipher the true meaning of his utterances?

I understand what you guys are saying, and sorry for the poor grahmer, but the smartphone is horriable to type on with thumb tips

It just shocking to me to take a back seat in space to china india, and many others,,,, I dont know the actual cost, but ISS was a HUGE step forward for man kind, I know it wont last forever, but id think 2030,,,,should have been doable, after all we just started doing the fun stuff, in the last few years, it took along time just to make this tin can life sustaining, the idea that we now have until 2018 to really make use of its oppertunities, is just a big set back, esp with nothing to replace it, our advances over just the last 5 years, are just astounding and the potential for just medicine in a zero gravityy enviouremt is un imginable. In areas of msd, to alzimers, parkinsons, even cancers, because now you can reshape cell structures at the molcular level, throw in nano tech, and we live in a new world, with biomatter computers

I just think there so much to be lost because we are going to loose such a valuabe resource in 6.5 years from now.

Remember, it will take 2 years just to prepare iss for splash down

I dont know, we have been able to serurrect 40 year old midgets bac from the grave, its hard to belive people amd nasa cant find away to get another 10 years out of a tin can, thats still over a year away from completeion

In this current political and economic enviormemt, I cant ever see the the usa building another ship like this, and if this gets wet, then the day of a manned ship to mars,,,, will just be a pipe dream,

I just fear, without this new tech, for man to exploit, then there is only a direction of reverse,,, today be as good as it will ever get for mankind, for many years to come

The land of the usa is one of dreams, adventure, and opptunity thur freedom, if we no longer do it, then who will, communist dont belive in dreams of big ideas and change, commumist belive in status que, and keeping the future at bay, and fear those with a good idea for making life better.

Prop - Mankind has developed many things - a spell checker is one of them!!

At least the ISS wont hit USA - I'm sure some back water like Aus, NZ or Wales might get it
