MG Midget and Sprite General - Preferred supplier

Hello,
I was wondering which or who is the preferred supplier of choice and whether it be for price or quality or if possible both !.

Thanks for looking. Wayne.

Depends on what you need.

For most parts compatible with the mini (a-series engine) i go to minispares.
For special stuff Peter May,Magic midget or Peter Burgess.
And most other midget parts from MGOC spares (through a local MG garage)

I try to stear clear from M#ss as they are expensive and deliver crap

For all routine stuff I have been using Susses Classic Cars because I like their on-line ordering with photo illustrations, and they are prompt with deliveries and reasonably priced.

Don't ignore your local general motor factors (Autoparts, Partco, etc) who will supply a surprising range of components for these cars over the counter.

Onno is rich though!!!!

I go to MGBhive mostly - although, that could be just because they are close and make me tea when I visit - having said that, they are mostly well priced and helpful.

I also think that Kim at Magic Midget is great - but then, I've told you that already - and hopefully his website is now working again.

However, I would also lean towards the same people as Onno, with the swap of MGBhive for MGOC, but then, I'm not a member there, so don't get the discounts ;)

Me rich you are funny!

The not being an mgoc member is why i go through my local mg garage

You join the MGOC for a one-off lifetime fee of £5

You don't have to pay the current £36/41/46/49 (depending on country) a year for the monthly magazine (unless they changed things recently)

I'm a Member (Only) and get discount on parts - paid my £5(?) in the early '90s and not had the magazines since mid-'90s

I agree with Guy Sussex Classic Cars online shopping is very good, prices are good and service is second to none in my opinion.

LOL Onno - doesn't seem to work like that here ..... mind you, I did buy something from there the other week, and they weren't particularly very good when it came to something apart from Meerkats and tweed caps ....

Ahh a nice flat cap can only be considered as a good thing!

Lol I prefer mine from the farm stockists ...!
