well I only had to work till noon and spent the day playing with the car

I finally got it fine tuned in, I was shocked that the timing was so far off ... Had the pertonix and went back to points.. it was over advanced by 18 degrees to much at idle... aka 28 degrees BTDC, i had it set to 10 BTDC with the chip... Still not sure whats up with that...

Yes I capped the dissy hose and no vac leaks...Oh well I got it running good so ho hum...

gez I hate tech... so is it me or is the site going thur maintace... I hit the upload button and nothing, it just has a title called "about" click on it and it looks like some administrative commands and buttons

Man I hate day light savings... that last turnbuckle was done by feel only

I just love the top... it clears the roll bar nicely and it looks almost like a leather top

and yepp... Its coated in non other then....

Now All I have to do Is figure out to get the car to heat up to drive... water temp after an hour 150 F. oil temp 140 F.

Hahaha.. always something... good thing for cardboard and duck tape... but Id rther be figuring out how to make it run hotter then how to cool it down any day

oh btw... the lights are not on, what appears to be the side marker lights lit up is the result of the camrea flash

Just an FYI

So Now im ready to drive...

Oh and really great news... Carbs are still perfectly clean inside... NO White powdery crystal stuff anywhere in the fuel system this time

thanks to sta bil and lucas fuel additive and 91 octan advert as no ethoninal added.. the only gas station in town to carry ethoniol free gas... definatly woth the extra 80 pennys a gallon over the reg stuff.

Im glad that issue ( nightmare on elm street) is finally solved

Prop good to see you're finally driving some. Nice hard top, but did you leave the soft top under it? Is it suppose to be like that with this hard top?

I lost track. What happened about the over heating? Was that caused by the 18 degree advance you mention in the first post in this thread?
