MG Midget and Sprite General - Overdrive Midget Box?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MG-MIDGET-1275-GEARBOX-/380331381921?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item588d8454a1 That's a new one to me! Though it ought to be true as it's on sale from a MG Specialist and they should know better than me!

Since it's not unheard of to fit an overdrive on the 1500 gearbox, and several people have changed the 1275 gearbox to 1500, it would appear possible to put an overdrive unit onto a 1275 gearbox!

It is BS They have mistaken the reversing switch for a od switch! It is not posible to fit an OD on a ribcase (not without alot of enginering) The box looks completely normal and an OD would show! The OD box used in spridgets is a triumph box

Yes it was rather tongue in cheek, I thought they meant the reverse switch also, but they really ought to know better! :-)

The link isn't actually working for me - so - could it be that it's a triumph one which has been fitted in the midget? - that was kind of how I read what seemed a possibility! Mind you - why you need such a good gearbox for a silly little 1275 engine beats me!!!!!!!!! :P! Onno - since I know fine well you'll read this - I got an e-mail returned - did you get it - my email system is playing up really bad ....! Sent it Sunday evening.

LOL - guess these are the problems of an iPhone ;)!!! I sent you another one just to see if there's a problem, so, no worries - it'll sort out .... :)
