Mine's on the road again after too many years.

Few niggles to iron out.

Forgot how much fun a midget can be!!!

I'll take a picture and upload it when I can

Cheers.

Mighty in the dry, not tried them in the wet yet - might be "interesting"

Sorted 2 minor water leaks, and found 2 minor oil leaks today, and need to find the headlamp rims too.

Hello Les -

Excellent Midget! It looks an awful lot like my own, except for your alloy wheels. One of these days I'll order a set, but for now it's Rostyles. I'll lose the bright sill trims some day too...

Cheers,

How long does it take to put a hood up?

About 2 hours if it's not been up for a couple of years!

had to leave it out in the sun, then put a fan heater inn the car to make the vinyl stretch enough to finaally fasten the catches on top of the windscreen.

Lots of expletives involved too as aprt of the process!!!

Original 2 oil leaks now sorted, now diffs leaking from drain plug!

Well, at least the diff will get a change of oil.

The joys of midget owneship!!

Congratulations! I've been working flat out the last couple of weeks in an attempt to make it to our MG National Meeting which was at Easter. Didn't quite make it unfortunately, but the brief drive that I got in on last Sunday night made it all worthwhile! Until I got back and discovered a massive oil leak from the gearbox of course... I'm going to go and retrieve the car from my father in laws carport this weekend so I can pull out the engine and box again and sort it out. At least I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is.

The photo below is following having gone for the drive, finding and diagnosing the problem, and reaching the disappointing conclusion that it really wasn't a good idea to drive the car over the 2 hours of highway running to get home. As I had to get back for work on Monday I had no choice but to leave it there until this weekend.
