MG Midget and Sprite General - OE 1972 Steering Wheel
Just missed out on a steering wheel on ebay. Has anyone got one for sale or knows someone who has?
P Ottewell
Mike Authers may have but might not be concours condition - http://www.mgmidgets.com/ - other sellers are available if you're not fussy about whether it's holes, slots or blanked slots that cover more than 1972 then you'll obviously have more choice

Thank Nigel, I want to get the car back to as near original as possible, so it has to be 1972 with holes. It has a 13" mota-lita fitted at the moment. I didn't think about Mike, I'll drop him an e-mail. Thanks

the change from round holes to elongated slot holes was July 72 - which one do you want please? I have a spare with round holes, spokes need resto & paint but the leather rim is good.
David Smith
Thanks Dave, I didn't know that. Mine was registered 3rd Aug 72, so I suppose it could have been built June or July. That now gives me a dilemma, which is the right one.

go by your car number the info will propbably be in Terry Horler's 'Original Sprite and Midget: The Restorer's Guide to All Austin-Healey and MG Models, 1958-79' book

...or possibly a good parts book will have change points.

the last round hole was G-AN5-135881
David Smith
Definatly a round hole then Dave. Could you send me a picture and a price to ppeteo@sky.com please. Thanks Dave
