MG Midget and Sprite General - NMC strange things to see in London on a Tuesday

NMC alert.
In a 45 minute period this morning, I have seen the following
1. A flock of Canadian Geese in Regent's Park
2. 5 Rheindeer and 3 Giraffes driving past London Zoo
3. Anta Harris walking past my office
All essential information I think that you'll find and no, it's not even a slow day at work.
Gary & Gaps

Theat's me driving past the zoo, not the Reindeer and Giraffes
Gary & Gaps

And Alan Bennett just walked past too.
Gary & Gaps

Hahaha

Wow... Canadian geese !!! I dont think we got raindeer but we got mule deer and white tail deer... How many do you guys want ???

Our C. Geese are so tame you can almost pet them like dogs at any park that has a pond...its a shame we cant shoot those low flying sh*t cans.... I dont know what they eat, but they sure have no issues crapping every where.

Btw... If anyone from the uk comes over to missouri for deer seasone to go deer hunting you can have my tags, granted its not purely legal ... But anything to thin out the heard as our conservation department has totally failed at wild animal conservation...and no hope of reform

All these "names" walking Gary

Tube on strike?

Anarak time...

"Canadian Geese" are any geese that come from/live in Canada no matter what color or size.

If you're talking about the brown ones with black necks and heads, their official name is Canada Geese.

And Prop is correct, they do produce a lot of fertilizer and can be mean if you get to near some of them.

And for those of us outside the social main stream of London Town, who are Anta Harris and Alan Bennett? ;-)
Martin Washington

Main stream?

Ok yes

Alan Bennett Playwright.

The Madness Of King George was adapted from a play of his, for example. Funny bloke, I like most of his stuff.

Anita Harris Singer from the Sixties, I think you had to be there. Lots of British TV in the sixties and seventies I kind of remember. Did a Playboy or Penthouse set I think too, way back then.

Mind you, I haven't been to the Zoo, they might be there all the time.

You know where Gary works don't you?

And those blinking geese, so much slimy muck. I don't know how they don't slip up over their own footprints.

nasty.
Bill 1

I wouldn't call Anita Harris strange!

Me neither Dave

You can keep the ruddy geese in London, but I suppose they'll be here soon enough, and yes, they are the "offical" ones with black necks - they spend their winter here as it's warmer (supposedly!)

Never heard of the people, apart from Alan Bennett, so I wouldn't know them if they came and hit me on the head.

Sadly, the only animals driving past here are horses, dogs and cats - sometimes literally :P!!!!!

There was an almost outside chance of a sighting of the never spotted Rach in London on Friday, but, I've had a reprieve :)!!!! Possibly just as well for London, as there was almost the chance of a "Rach and Ally" shopping trip - not sure London is quite ready for that yet :)!!!!
rachmacb

Rach, If you're not into cities them London's certainly not for you, but if you do love cities then I believe that it really is one of the most amazing in the world in terms of size, diversity, history and culture.
Gary & Gaps

LOL Gary - I can "do" it once in awhile - but, I know for sure I could never live there again! I would totally agree though, it is a fantastic place and I've never really been in another one like it - whichever bit you're in!

Truth be told, I'd rather have come at the start of December - there's something about going to Hamleys that makes Christmas seem almost here - not sure I'm quite ready for that at the start of November!!!!!
rachmacb

I wonder if a canadian goose would make a good alternitive to turkey for thanksgiving

I cant wait... Just a few more weeks to stuff your self severly day and give thanks for being able to do it.

Hahaha

Just take a bag of bread to my local park and you can have as many as you like.

We went out for a breath of "fresh" and decided to fatten up the ducks for Chrimble with Monday's stale-ish bread.

So many Canada Geese down on the water you'd have to walk over them to get to the Mallards and Coots.

Rachel if you are missing any they are over this way nowadays...
