MG Midget and Sprite General - New Zetec engine for sale
Just came across this. Might interest someone? If you fancied doing a different engine upgrade its not a bad price for brand new! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Ford-Zetec-Engine-2-0L-Black-Top-High-Spec-Zetec-R-Kit-Car-Focus-Fiesta-/300617485717?_trksid=p4012.m1374&_trkparms=algo%3DPI.WATCH%26its%3DC%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D8%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4532741798013768320

That must be cheaper than doing a K-conversion? I'd consider buying one if I only had something to put it in.

135BHP from 2 litres? Doesn't seem much.

Hi Matt, l agree, seems a bit low. I wasn't necessarily recommending it as the best conversion, but the price ain't bad for a complete new engine.

>>That must be cheaper than doing a K-conversion? Actually, the cheapest K-conversion cost £130 complete (engine, parts, sundries). A

Zetec has a cast block and ally head. Weighs approx 40lbs more than the Duratec. Cheaper though and no HGF issues!

Oh yes Guy I agree, was tempted to put a bid for the next project :-) You get a hell of a lot of gear for £750.
Tarquin
"was tempted to put a bid for the next project :-)" Ohno, the "next project" Tarquin, when seeing how "fast" you finish one of your projects and keeping in mind you still have some to finish I dont think you live long enough to finish a new one even if you become 100 years. LOL!!!! Btw, is the guestroom ready yet? Its only 2 weeks from now!!!

Seems to be the going rate for new Zetecs, I put one in a Morgan a similar E bay purchase, slightly cheaper than that, the bits to get it inline and running cost me more than the engine though.
