MG Midget and Sprite General - new engine

Hi guys, just joined and read through a few of the threads but there are a lot! I have an mg midget 1500, the engine is tired as is the gearbox. What is the best option for replacing etc. Id like something that goes a bit !!

I assume you mean 2x performance of the standard 1500?

Debs will do you a fantastic engine.

If you want to change to something else don't forget you will have to pay more tax. Don't just jump to kseries as there are lots of other options it depends on what you are going to do with your car - fiat twin-cam, 4age - even a V8 has been done so think seriously before jumping any direction!
